Jodie was born June 8, 1964, in Little Rock, Ark., the daughter of Hugh and Rita McKenna. She graduated from Iowa City West High School, Class of 1982. Jodie served in the United States Air Force for over six years. Following she earned an LPN degree from Kirkwood College. Jodie worked at Solon Care Center, served as the director of nursing at Rock Ridge Care Center in Shellsburg, and most recently at Cottage Grove Place as DON. Jodie was united in marriage to Michael Bevans in June of 2005. She enjoyed camping, crafting, crocheting, reading, going boating, gardening and, most of all, spending time with her family, especially the grandkids. Jodie is survived by her husband, Mike; her children, Steven Mack, Joseph (Tiffany) Frederick, Davis (Macy) McKenna and Kim Hinkle; Mike's children, Kellie (Jeff) Hughes, Todd Bevans, Stephanie Dooley, T.J. (Allison) Bevans and Arissa Maxwell; their daughter, Dezirae Bevans; 24 grandchildren; her dad, Hugh McKenna; her sisters, Laurie McKenna, Kathy (Frank) McKenna-Sauermann and Susan (Ben) Macumber; as well as her nieces and nephews.  Jodie is dearly missed and touched everyone's life she came in contact with.  I hope anytime you need to hear her voice or see her face you come back to this page!
